Jordan's food tour of London

The Coakley gals left us on Wednesday and Jordan and I hopped on the train to London

Walked out of Kings Cross right smack into a food market serving Crosstown Donuts (a Buzzfeed recommendation)

Dinner at The Burger Shack at The Royal Oak
Winner of best burger so far in the UK (in our opinion)

Windsor Castle

He spent an hour riding the Olympic track

Winner of best pizza
He was HUNGRY after his workout!!
I haven't had the courage to try a margarita in the UK!  I'm pretty sure Voodoo Ray's has the only margarita machine in the country (at least from what I've seen so far)!  And it was oh sooo yummy, ginger/rhubarb!  Winner! I'll be back!!

The "fixie" juice, gotta get my greens and fruit
Winner of best breakfast
Learning about steam engines at the science museum

Our walk through the Lake District - Monday May 18th - Saturday May 23rd

Day 1 - Ravenglass to Nether Wasdale, 9.5 miles

And we are off....

 Trying to decipher the directions

Sheep ahead

The models

Didn't realize he was licking my backpack

That's cow slobber!

1st much needed rest stop

Just avoided an attack

2nd much needed rest stop

That girl

 Blue bonnets

The end of day 1 in sight

Day 2 - Nether Wasdale to Buttermere, 13.5 miles

Gail's breakfast

Still in the rain gear

Smiling, not realizing what's in store up ahead

 Friendly lil guy

Newborn

Up we go..

Had to summon some courage here
 Made it!!
Oh crap, there's another one!!
Now I made it!!  Trying REALLY hard not to cry!!
2100' ascent

 Now to get down

No let's go up one more time!!
 A looong rocky descent
Finally at the bottom

The damage

Day 3 - Buttermere to Keswick, 10 miles

Trivia question:  which 2 took a taxi, which 2 hiked?

Locals passing by the hotel

This is a pretty good clue who hiked

Day 4 - a scheduled rest day

Lovely boat ride

A short walk to the waterfall

A scone, coffee and hot chocolate break
I watched the other 3 climb Cat Bells

Went to the outdoor store - got some custom insoles and a lesson on how to tie my boots

Day 5 - Keswick to Dockray, 13 miles

The clouds were pretty low

Not quite Stone Henge but a nice stone circle

Another 2100' ascent, on long rocky, lonely Old Coach Road

Very tempted to join the sheep

Finally hit pavement!

Day 6 - Dockray to Eamont Bridge, 16 miles

They finally got to wear shorts

Had to break out the compass

BIG mistake - thought I was ordering a cheeseburger with onion rings on the side
Pretty sure it was at least 1/2 a pound of meat
DISGUSTING!!

Made it back to Humber Lodge with some minor damage

Just chilling'
Wishing it was a tad warmer
