Weekend wrap up

Saturday

Here we go again....
It's still February and the weeds are alive and thriving!!

Who knew astroturf could grow weeds so well!!

Can't believe it's dinner dance season already!!
This year's theme The Mythical Village of Brigadoon

 Speechless!

Again speechless!

Sunday

I forgot to get the "feels like" temperature.  I'm sure the wind was blowing at least 20 mph

We met up with the P66 Walking Club
Notice the "walking uniform"

Larry and I were the ONLY ones in jeans (I do have LOTS of layers under my jacket)

I kept wondering "why do they all have backpacks, we're only going 5 miles?"

 Suspension bridge
This picture does not show how steep this hill is
Oh ok, now I see!!  They brought their tea and sandwiches!
Think we may be investing in the walking uniform

Propaganda

I think it's time to put a sign on the mail slot "don't bother, we can't vote"

Valentines Day in Leeds

Staying within the 100 mile radius this time

Good music!!
(trivia:  lead singer born and raised in Montana)

On Sunday, we walked the bridge to avoid the mud.  There was a cold breeze and I was the only bright spot on the bridge.  The jacket's bright but oh so warm!

These boots are made for walking (dedicated to Jordan, Claire and Gail)

Yes, these are hiking boots.  Time to start training for our walk in May
My trainer - taking advantage of the warm night
SOOOO EXCITED!!  This pub was flooded in the December 2013 storm surge.  The chef who owns my favorite restaurant has bought it.  Can't wait, I'm calling to book a table now!!

A view out today's window

This morning we had our first snow since moving here.

We arrived back at Humber Lodge on Sunday and are busy trying to catch up and readjust to everyday life.

We had a truly wonderful, best ever vacation!!  Not even leaving our camera on a lovely bench overlooking a pretty bay in Dubai, getting our credit card hacked for $1366.63 at McDonalds, KFC, Cubana nightclub and Diamond Discount Liquors in Capetown, or having our GBPs stolen from my carryon bag could ruin it for us!!
